CIVIL PARTNERSHIP CELEBRATIONS

Civil partnership celebrations, whether they are same sex or opposite sex, are designed to completely represent you as a couple.  They could follow a traditional wedding style, or be designed to be completely unique in a style that speaks to you.  Whatever your preference, I've got you covered.

Where can you have a civil partnership ceremony?

Do you have a special place that means something to you as a couple? Why not have your ceremony there? Legal places to have a civil partnership are restricted to buildings, or areas just outside with a permanent structure.  When you decide to have a celebrant-led ceremony, you have no restrictions whatsover.  The ceremony can be wherever you want it to be (as long as you have permission!). A large back garden, woodland, lakeside, a beach, a football pitch, etc.

Once you've chosen a location, we can plan the layout of the furniture, where everyone will face, focal point at the front, access.  A unique location is really memorable to guests, and will be so special for you.

What's should be included in the ceremony?

If you've decided to have a civil partnership rather than a wedding, there could be a good reason for this.  Perhaps you want to move away from the traditions of a wedding, and have a different approach to committing to each other.  If this is the case, you may find my vlog on 'Outdated wedding traditions and how to avoid them' quite relevant and worth a watch.

The beauty of a celebrant-led ceremony, is that the legal aspect of a civil partnership are already done, so we can write a beautiful ceremony together that completely represents you as a couple.  This could include readings, symbolic actions that include several of your guests like a handfasting ceremony or sand blending, it could involve music (live or playback) and anything else you like the idea of.

Get in touch

Send me a message with your ceremony date, and if I'm free we can have initial video or audio call to have a chat about what your vision is.

Let's meet up

Time to meet for a coffee, or visit your venue to go through the finer details.  This is when I'll get to know you both,  and your story as a couple.  This gives me everything I need to write a bespoke script for you.

Script and ceremony

Once I've written the script, I'll send you a draft and we can work on it together.  After any revisions, the only thing left to do is to deliver the ceremony on your big day!!
